I am 66 years old and in super shape. I laid off competition in 1967
when I became disenchanted with the sport because
of the steroid use.

(I refused to use them) This is why at 66 yrs, I am in such great shape.
"All Natural"  I can hear you saying...Well, that's because you never stopped working out or abused yourself.

Wrong !!!

For over 3 decades I smoked, used alcohol and stopped paying attention to my food choices, as a result of that, I gained aprox 60 lbs. and didn't feel like working out.  I was in bad shape, until one day while looking in the mirror, I thought, "Who is that?" So I began working out for 10 minutes at a time, stopped drinking and smoking. After only 90 days I was back to using the same weights when competing at age 28.
 I love itwhile I'm in a gym where no one knows of me. I'll wear a big sweatshirt to conceal my body. Although my hair is white now and my face shows signs of what neglect can do, I can still jump up on the chin bar with 30 lbs. hangin' from my waist and knock off 30 chin ups.
(It certainly gets their attention!)  One woman began clapping and yelling " Bravo." When I go to the DB rack where young guys are training and grab the 100's or more, then belt out about 12-15 reps,
you should see the look on their faces! I've had instructors approach me after loading the bar for benches and say," You can't do that,You'll get hurt!" Then I proceed to do more reps with more than they can for a single.

"Who's that old man?" Me !!

Just a guy who was fed up feeling old.  Now I feel 20 again!
(I am just more careful )
